My Story
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and my parents divorced when I was young. While it was difficult, they did everything they could to ensure I was taken care of. My mom was a hardworking single woman who taught me responsibility, how to always bring a positive approach to any situation, and to share that positivity with others. My father taught me how to embrace others with compassion and treat them well.
My family’s strong work ethic inspired me, and I joined the workforce when I was just 14. I worked 17 different jobs over the next few years. I delivered pizza, pumped gas, and even worked in an elder care home, trying everything I could while searching for my passion.
I finally found it when I was accepted into a vocational pilot training course taught by a retired Marine Colonel at the end of high school. Before that program, I’d been aimless, unchallenged and a bit of a troublemaker. In this course that taught me how to fly, I learned stability, focus and commitment like I never had before.
As high school ended, so did the pilot program. There was no doubt in my mind what my passion was, and I enlisted in the US Navy when I was 19. The military made me the man I am today. It taught me resilience, confidence, passion and how to be part of something larger. Most of all, it taught me humility.
That’s not to say I always did exactly as I was told. I was never one to sit idly by when I didn’t agree with something, which is what led me to real estate. I spent 24 fulfilling years in the military.
When I was at the top of my career, as the Senior Enlisted Leader of my Command, I made the difficult decision to retire early and pursue my newfound passion serving veterans through real estate. The military helped me build my life, define myself, and find my family. But it was time to pursue a new calling.
I married the love of my life, Maria, in 1998 and we have two beautiful children together, Sebastian and Felicia. In 2009, my family and I purchased a house in California while I was stationed in Italy. The REALTOR® who helped me was himself on active duty at the time. I learned from watching him and his methods how different my homebuying needs were as a veteran. He made sure that I had everything I needed for success, even driving me around house hunting. I saw how real estate should be for veterans. We have specific needs, often uprooting our families and moving across the world without much notice. It was time I did something about it.
In 2019, we were fortunate to welcome my son, Sebastian, to our team as a licensed REALTOR®. After leaving behind his golfing career of 15 years, he decided to make a change and go all in with real estate. Being around MORE Group since I first started it in 2011, he has been with me every step of the way. Immersed in the industry, going to showings, and meeting clients—real estate is in his blood. I could not be prouder of Sebastian and what he has accomplished or my daughter, Felicia and the amazing young lady she has become. Between Sebastian’s intensive training and discipline as an athlete and my own military background, we have become an unstoppable team in helping our clients reach their goals.
My team is dedicated to helping veterans find their perfect homes, no matter where they’re located.
I know what it’s like to buy a house sight unseen, moving your whole family to a new place, a new life. That’s why I now offer 360° walkthroughs for my clients with virtual reality goggles. I want you and your family to have a home you’re comfortable with. Helping veterans and advocating for their needs are what matters to me, my family, and my team. We’re here to serve you and help you find the best home for you and yours.
